众所周知，当选美国总统钱是不可少的。照2008年的标准，一亿美元恐怕是最低限度了。不过要当总统， 钱并不是最重要的(虽然说没钱是万万不可的)，民主党当红小生– 奥巴马上个月就一举拿下3000万美元募捐。除了钱， 要当总统还要以下条件（必要的但不是充分的）：
1 包装自己：内政外交不但要懂， 还要让人觉得你实实在在地懂。你是选民的代言人。 就像希拉里说的：”你雇我， 我到白宫第一天就为你服务！”
2 不偏不倚：团结一切可以团结的力量。 敌人的敌人一定要化为自己的朋友。
3 为了争取选民， 一定要亲和， 所以明星效应， 性格魅力要一并用上， 达到。总统当然要象超女一样有名， 甚至要更有名。 象这个有几名艺人根据奥巴马演讲编出来的清唱 （奥巴马不插电–视频版 ）， 通过网络播出， 轰动效应不可低估。
4 要做好每天只睡4-5个小时的准备。
一点点政治， 一点点选秀， 既要精英，又要大众，既要会弹吉他， 又要会流眼泪。 为入主白宫， 就得什么都作.
这个清单很长很长， 不过没有以上几条， 出局就难免了。
